1 – Day (Open Enrollment or Site-Specific Closed Enrollment)
This is a one-day workshop designed for industrial managers, supervisors, and team leaders.
The purpose this training is to offer sound and current insight to the needs and requirements of modern rescue contingencies for general industry.
Prerequisites: None.
Training Objectives At the completion of this class, the participants should be able to:
- Specify the equipment needed to perform industrial rescues (high angle, and confined space).
- Define key terms and basic requirements specified in OSHA and other important consensus standards.
- Define central components of a hazard analysis and risk assessment for the participant’s specific place of work.
- List the key training requirements for industrial rescue.
- Conduct a command-and-control sequence that includes each of the following steps:
- Scene size-up, establishing command and control.
- Ensuring the safety of the general area and rescue area during a rescue operation.
- Overseeing the rescue operation, tear down, debrief, and pre-plan updating.
